Introducing Emile Thomas – Business Development Manager, Coftec

We are pleased to welcome Emile Thomas to Coftec as our new Business Development Manager.

Emile is a Chartered Engineer (BEng Hons, CEng MIChemE, MIMechE) with extensive experience in technical sales, commercial management, and business development across the water, construction, and process industries. His career includes senior roles at Edwards Limited, where he managed sales of vacuum pump systems and engineered solutions for the UK chemical process sector.

At Xylem Water Solutions, he was responsible for developing packaged pumping station business and refurbishment services across London and the South East. He also held a commercial role at Grundfos Pumps, supporting clean and wastewater pumping solutions for water companies and contractors. Earlier in his career, Emile served as Group Commercial Manager at BHR Group, where he led proposal development for high-value projects and supported strategic sales and contract negotiations.

Throughout his career, Emile has contributed to securing significant contracts and developing strategic relationships with clients such as Thames Water, Mott MacDonald, and major manufacturers in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. His expertise spans applications engineering, troubleshooting, contract negotiation, and collaborative project delivery, both in the UK and internationally.

Emile is an active member of the IChemE and IMechE, regularly participating in technical forums and supporting professional development initiatives. Outside of work, he enjoys learning to play guitar, DIY projects, and cooking for friends and family.

Emile’s practical approach and broad industry insight are well aligned with Coftec’s goals. We look forward to the contribution he will make to our team.
